Steve Lee (Moneyball), who directs the Bitcoin R&D initiative at Block, introduced this subject to the group. He shared some feedback that had been expressed by a number of individuals, which importantly included project donors.
Their feedback pointed to a twofold worry. Primarily, there are apprehensions that the developers at Bitcoin Core might not be giving adequate attention to AI-driven threats. In addition to this, these stakeholders felt that the project is currently underusing artificial intelligence for daily operations, specifically pointing to test development, code review, and issue and PR triage.
