Xiaomi Group (01810) partner and president Lu Weibing said on Weibo that the new Xiaomi 18 Pro series will be launched this month, calling it the biggest upgrade in the company’s digital series to date, according to ETNet.

Lu said the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will see significant improvements in performance, imaging, battery life and AI capabilities. He also highlighted Xiaomi’s proprietary “Magic Back Screen,” saying daily use of app cards on the rear display exceeded 4 million times last year and wallpaper additions topped 3.5 million times in a single day.

Lu said user demand for the rear screen is diverse and that Xiaomi will adopt a more advanced solution this year to make the experience much richer.
