The Sandbox ($SAND)

Price: about $0.0363 USD.
24h: roughly +2.4% to +2.5% (~+$0.0009). 24h range about $0.0347–$0.0365.
Volume / cap: 24h volume about $13–18M
Market cap about $106.6M.
Circulating supply ~2.94B of 3B max. FDV ~$109M.
Longer performance:
7 days: about −8% to −8.4% (week range roughly $0.035–$0.041).
30 days: about −7%.
Still ~99.6% below the Nov 2021 ATH of ~$8.40–$8.44; modestly above the Nov 2020 ATL (~$0.029).
The main overhang remains the 21–22 Aug 2026 Base/BSC bridge exploit. A LayerZero configuration flaw let an attacker mint large amounts of unbacked SAND on those chains and drain about 14.7M SAND (~$675k–$700k) from the Ethereum vault. Ethereum and Polygon SAND were not affected; the team shut the bridges. Economic impact was a small fraction of the 3B supply, but Korean venues Upbit and Bithumb still marked SAND as a caution asset and halted deposits/withdrawals, with Upbit’s review running into late September / early October.
Compensation claims for eligible pre-attack bridged holders opened 8–22 Sep 2026 for 1:1 SAND on Ethereum. Exchange-held balances are being handled separately. No major product catalyst is driving price this week; SAND is trading with broader GameFi / small-cap risk appetite.
Levels: Immediate support is the recent low near $0.0347. Resistance sits around $0.038–$0.041 (last week’s highs). Price is still compressed near multi-month lows; 24h bounce is modest versus the 7-day
