$NS - the token behind Sui Name Service, is down more than 97% from its ATH.

At around $0.013 today, its market cap is only a few million dollars.

And this is where the story gets interesting.

SuiNS is not some random Sui project. It is a core naming and identity layer for the Sui ecosystem, with $NS designed for governance and discounted name purchases.

But the problem is clear:

A good product ≠ strong token demand.

$NS has 500M total supply, with 28% allocated to core contributors and early backers. Team and investor tokens unlock over time, while Mysten Labs has its own 4-year unlock schedule.

Meanwhile, the token still has relatively limited demand outside governance and SuiNS-related utility.

So how did we get here?

The Sui ecosystem can grow while $NS struggles to capture that growth.

The real question isn't whether SuiNS has a useful product.

It's whether SuiNS can create enough demand for $NS.

At a market cap of only a few million dollars, the upside could be huge if that changes.

But until then, $NS remains a fascinating example of a strong product with weak token value capture.

Could $NS be one of the most overlooked micro-caps in the Sui ecosystem? 👀
