If you want better order execution, lower unnecessary slippage, and a more controlled entry & exit, this is the setup I personally prefer.
🔥 FUTURES SETUP
1️⃣ Isolated Margin — 5x–20x
Use Isolated Margin so each position has its own allocated margin.
⚠️ Higher leverage = higher risk. Always choose leverage according to your risk management.
2️⃣ Entry — Post Only
For limit entries, use Post Only when available.
✅ Helps avoid unnecessary taker execution
✅ Designed to place the order as a maker
✅ Gives you better control over your entry price
🎯 TAKE PROFIT (TP)
TP → Limit Order
Recommended setup:
Trigger/Working Price: Last Price
Order Type: Limit
Price Protection: OFF (depending on your strategy)
This allows you to take profit at a predefined price instead of immediately using a market order.
🛑 STOP LOSS (SL)
SL → Market Order
Recommended setup:
Trigger: Mark Price
Order: Market
Price Protection: ON
Why Market SL?
Because when your stop is hit, getting out of the position is usually more important than getting the exact price.
💰 BEST SPOT TRADING SETUP
🟢 BUY — Limit Order
Example:
Current Price = $100
➡️ Buy Limit = $99.50
So you're placing the buy order below the current market price instead of chasing the market.
🎯 TAKE PROFIT
Your TP should be:
TP > Buy Price
Example:
Buy = $99.50
TP = $101.00
🛑 STOP LOSS
For a Spot position:
SL Trigger < Buy Price
If using an SL Limit:
SL Limit < SL Trigger
Example:
Buy = $100
SL Trigger = $98
SL Limit = $97.90
This can give the order more room to execute during fast price movement.
⚠️ One Important Thing
No trading setup can guarantee 100% zero slippage.
During extreme volatility, sudden pumps/dumps, low liquidity, or rapid order-book changes, slippage can still happen.
The goal of this setup is to reduce unnecessary slippage and improve execution control, not to guarantee a perfect fill every time.
