One thing I’ve been thinking about with Dusk is how much attention it puts on the infrastructure underneath the financial use case.

Piecrust VM is designed as a lightweight WASM-based environment, with host functions handling cryptographic operations efficiently. That may sound like a small technical detail, but for a blockchain targeting financial applications, execution efficiency and cryptography are not exactly minor concerns.

I find this part of Dusk interesting because the bigger picture isn’t just about putting financial assets on-chain. The underlying execution layer also has to be capable of handling the kind of applications built around them.

I’m curious to see how this architecture performs as real usage grows.
