Dusk $DUSK #dusk @Duskfoundation is not simply running a regulated Dutch exchange on its chain. Through the partnership it inherits MTF, Broker and ECSP coverage, placing compliance at the protocol layer rather than inside each application.
On other networks every dApp maintains its own KYC and rule set. Assets lose legal continuity the moment they move. Here the shared framework means a single onboarding can cover issuance, trading and settlement under one legal structure. That is the concrete difference the licenses create.
What changed for me was seeing that a licensed EU exchange building on-chain is less about adding a venue and more about making the compliance rules network-native. Privacy and selective disclosure only become practical once that shared legal base exists.
Next thing to watch is whether the still-pending DLT-TSS keeps native issuance inside the same single-framework model once it is granted.
