Dusk Network caught my attention because it is not trying to be another Layer 1 that promises to do everything. Its focus is much narrower: privacy for financial applications, with confidential smart contracts and the XSC standard at the core.
After watching several crypto cycles, I have learned to be careful with new-chain narratives. Good technology means little if real users never arrive. Traffic is the real test. Even networks like Solana can feel extremely smooth under normal conditions, yet heavy activity can expose weaknesses.
That is the question for Dusk too. Can its privacy approach attract developers, applications, liquidity, and eventually real financial users?
I like the problem it is targeting. I am just not convinced yet.
