š£ļø Intel Corporation (INTC) is reportedly planning to increase the size of its public stock offering to approximately $20 billion, according to reports from Bloomberg News. This marks a one-third expansion from the initial $15 billion common stock sale announced on Monday morning. The decision to scale up the equity financing follows blockbuster market demand, with total investor subscriptions quickly surpassing $100 billion.
The company is expected to price the massive share sale at around $95 per share or higher. At this price level, the offering reflects a roughly 6.5% discount to its previous closing price. Underwriters including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Citigroup also hold a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase an additional $2.25 billion in shares, which could push the final capital raise even higher.
