The people who lock their tokens get to vote on how Aerodrome token emissionsre distributed across the liquidity pools.
They also get a share of the fees from trading on Aerodrome.
This gives them a reason to think about what will happen in the term not just what will happen with the price of Aerodrome tokens right now.
Aerodrome still gives out tokens to people who provide liquidity.

On July 17 2026 Aerodrome tokens were listed on Binance Spot with a Seed Tag.
This means more traders around the world can now use Aerodrome.
Whether or not Aerodrome becomes the place for liquidity on Base will depend on if people keep using it and if there is a lot of trading activity.
