Changi Airport has made history by becoming the world’s first airport to join the popular metaverse gaming platform Roblox. This innovative development marks a significant milestone for the aviation industry and provides a fresh and engaging way for travelers and gaming enthusiasts to interact with the airport.

The Changi Airport Group (CAG) partnered with Accenture to create the metaverse experience, which offers a unique way for people to connect with Singapore Changi Airport and its many attractions. With millions of daily users on Roblox, ChangiVerse is set to attract digital users eager to explore travel destinations in a new way.

ChangiVerse features a range of activities and social interactions that mirror the physical airport. The metaverse is organized around the airport’s most recognizable landmarks, including the stunning indoor waterfall at Jewel, the iconic Changi control tower, and the impressive outdoor dinosaur display at Jurassic Mile. 

With in-play moments integrated across all its attractions, ChangiVerse offers users the chance to explore interactable spaces, such as bustling cafes and festive glamping tents, compete in exciting minigames – Changi Kart and Check-in Champ – and earn collectibles to personalize their digital avatars.

As an added incentive for users, Changi Airport is running a Changi Kart racing game until September. Every month, the fastest racer will win two economy-class direct flight tickets on Singapore Airlines to any destination.
