🚨 S&P 500 Is Testing a Critical Level

The US 500 Index (12H timeframe) is showing a clear shift in structure, and the chart reveals an important battle zone forming.

Earlier this year the market was trading inside a large distribution range near 6,900–7,000. Multiple attempts to break higher failed, creating strong resistance at the top of the grey supply zone.

Then the structure broke.

A market structure break (MSB) occurred near the 6,820 area, signaling the first sign of weakness. After that, price continued to print lower highs and lower lows, confirming that momentum had shifted from bullish to bearish.

Recently the market experienced a sharp drop toward the 6,600 region, followed by a bounce. But the recovery is now running directly into a key resistance level around 6,720–6,740, which previously acted as support before breaking down.

This zone is important because markets often retest broken support as new resistance.

Right now two scenarios are developing:

• Rejection at 6,720–6,740: sellers regain control and the index could continue downward toward the 6,600 liquidity zone.

• Break and reclaim above 6,840: the market could attempt a move back toward the 6,900–7,000 range highs.

At the moment the structure still favors bearish pressure, with price struggling beneath former support levels.

The next move will likely be decided at this retest.

A clean rejection could accelerate selling…
while a breakout could trap short sellers and trigger a sharp recovery.
