đ just rebuilt its entire website from scratch, and the speed jump is massive
On a slow connection, the old X web took more than 22 seconds to show the first post on a profile
The new đ web does it in 2.7 seconds
That's nearly 9x faster
âą Rewrite of http://X.com kicked off this spring
âą Old web stack dated back to 2006
âą Rolling out one country at a time
âą Comes alongside a new Android app and a refreshed iOS app
Once, waiting for a page to load was part of the internet
Now the conversation is there the moment you arrive
