The Biggest $XRP âWhaleâ This Week Was a Hacker Every time a chart shows a record whale outflow, my timeline fills up with the same post: âwhales are accumulatingâ đ This week the record was real. On October 29, CryptoQuant recorded XRP whale netflow on one of the largest exchanges at -226 million XRP, almost 3x the September 2022 level. The âwhaleâ behind most of it, though, was the attacker. That was the day of the $6.3B exchange hack, and TRM Labs traced about 233 million XRP straight to the hackerâs address. The actual whales showed up after withdrawals reopened on November 1: đč large outflows jumped to 80 million XRP, over 5x the October 30 level đč whale netflow stayed at around -50 million XRP Those are holders taking their coins home, so less XRP sits ready to be sold. đ After an 8% drop on the hack night, XRP has been stuck around $1.25 since October 31. Key Price Levels to Watch đ đ Resistance: $1.26. Every push since October 31 has stalled here. đ Support: $1.24. Price wicked below it on November 2 and came right back. đ If that gives way, $1.20 is next, the low from the hack night. Pretty calm chart for the week of the biggest hack on record. Still, if $BTC turns lower, a thinner sell side wonât help XRP much. Next time you see ârecord whale outflowâ, will you check whoâs behind it first? đ€ Not financial advice.
