President Trump said Friday that the administration is investigating the $6.3 billion hack of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, the largest cryptocurrency hack on record. Trump said the administration does not know whether a suspected North Korea hacker group was responsible. Blockchain intelligence firms TRM Labs and Chainalysis said TraderTraitor, a cybercrime group based in North Korea, appears responsible. Binance suspended all deposits and withdrawals, while cryptocurrency firms froze about $3 billion in assets connected to the incident. Binance said the company will cover every loss associated with the hack.
