Bitcoin fell to $80,000 after two consecutive weekly closes below $83,000. Analyst Benjamin Cowen said the second weekly close confirms a failed breakout. Cowen identified the bull market support band between $72,000 and $76,000 as Bitcoin's next likely target. However, Cowen said the bearish thesis would become invalid if Bitcoin recovered and stayed above $83,000. Cowen said economic and oil-price developments could push Bitcoin and stocks lower through the remainder of the fourth quarter, but Cowen still favors dollar-cost averaging.
