Solana-side Revenue Buybacks and 180-Day Unstaking Timelock
GM Labs plans two changes on October 28, to further unify the GMX fee structure and reward committed stakers.
All remaining Solana-side protocol revenue after GT buybacks will be used to buy back GMX. The purchased GMX will be added to the staking rewards pool. GT buybacks continue as they currently do.
A 180-day unstaking timelock will be introduced for staked GMX and esGMX on Arbitrum and Avalanche. Stakers submit an unstaking request, then wait 180 days to withdraw. It applies to existing and new positions, with no personal migration needed. Pending unstaking requests can be cancelled, but the existing 80% Staking Power rule still applies; canceling the request will not restore staking power.
