➤ When supply grows quickly, watch the ratio as well as the records

📢 USDD Weekly Highlights: on October 12, USDD circulation exceeded 1.81 billion tokens and TVL surpassed $2.51 billion, "refreshing new highs twice in one week." On October 15, the 19th sTRX & TRX Vaults stability fee waiver event launched. On October 18, the Gate DEX rewards campaign was upgraded with 16,000 USDD in extra rewards.

🔍 Two records in one week are worth celebrating, and they are also worth reading together. When supply and TVL both reach highs, the ratio between them shows how the backing is evolving.

🧮 The ratio:
▫️ $2.51B TVL ÷ 1.81B USDD ≈ 1.39, or about 139%.
▫️ USDD's September report cited a reserve ratio of 146.95%, with 1.52B supply and $2.24B in reserves.
▫️ Supply grew from 1.52B to over 1.81B, about 19%, while the backing figure grew from $2.24B to $2.51B, about 12%.

📊 Taken at face value, supply has grown faster than backing, bringing the ratio down from roughly 147% to roughly 139%. Two cautions apply: TVL and reserves may not be measured identically, and the figures come from different dates. Still, the direction is worth monitoring. A ratio comfortably above 100% indicates overcollateralisation; the trend shows whether growth is being matched by additional collateral.

🌐 Records in supply show adoption; the collateral ratio shows how safely that adoption is backed. Both belong in the weekly highlights.

⚠️ Collateral values move with markets; stablecoins can deviate from their peg under stress.

📊 This is market information, not investment advice.

🔗 Growing supply is the headline; a healthy ratio beneath it is what keeps the headline sustainable.
