I’ve been thinking about Kite lately, and one question keeps coming to mind: what happens when AI agents actually start spending money?
What caught my attention is Agent Passport. Users can set spending limits, budgets, and expiration times instead of giving an agent unlimited access to funds.
That makes sense to me. But there’s another side to this.
An agent having a wallet doesn’t automatically make it useful. The real question is whether it can do something valuable enough that people are willing to pay for it again and again.
That’s what I want to see with Kite. Not just more agents connecting, but real tasks getting done, payments happening naturally, and users coming back without needing incentives.
I like the idea, but I think the real story will be written by actual usage, not promises.
Will AI agents create their own payment economy, or are we still too early to tell?
