Someone bought 248.854 Bitcoin in 2013 for about $88,000.

The wallet received the coins via BitPay roughly 12 years ago and sat untouched until today. Arkham shows the same 248.854 $BTC just moved, now worth about $20.22 million. That is roughly a $20.1 million gain from simply holding through the intervening years.

The position survived the Mt. Gox collapse, the China ban, the 2018 bear market, the FTX collapse, and every other drawdown in between. No coins left the address until this transfer.

The move itself does not confirm a sale. The coins went to a new address, and there is no public link yet to an exchange. Early wallets have been waking up more often this year as prices remain well above their original cost bases. This one shows the math of a long hold. It does not show what the holder does next.
