Crypto custody is expanding. Custody is not the same as buying.
Reuters reported on October 16 that Deutsche Bank is preparing a digital-asset custody launch within weeks, initially covering Bitcoin and Ether.

The report cites corporate banking co-head Gerald Podobnik. This is a stated rollout plan—not confirmation that the service is already live.
Why it matters for $BTC and $ETH: custody is part of the infrastructure clients need to hold digital assets through a financial institution.

But three different developments should not be confused:
• A bank offering custody
• Clients choosing to use that service
• The bank buying crypto for its own balance sheet
One does not automatically prove the others.

My interpretation: infrastructure announcements are worth tracking, but actual availability and usage are the stronger tests. Neither an announcement nor a launch guarantees higher token prices.

What would you watch next: the launch date, client adoption, or assets under custody?
