Official European Ledger reseller MediaMarkt has stopped selling Ledger wallets following reports that physical spyware in some devices led to an $86 million draining incident. MediaMarkt said it removed all Ledger products from stores and online platforms and is in contact with Ledger. Former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès has reportedly found spyware in wallets sold by several resellers. However, Ledger said it has only confirmed that wallets sold by Malaysian reseller CryptoBilis were involved in the draining incident. Ledger said it has not verified a drain linked to a wallet bought elsewhere and is reviewing reports of implants in other devices and locations.
