$NEAR is starting to stand out to me for reasons beyond its speed as a Layer 1 blockchain. There are a few developments worth watching. The Bitwise NEAR ETF began trading on NYSE Arca on September 29, opening another route for traditional investors to gain exposure to $NEAR . At the same time, NEAR Intents is expanding its cross-chain activity across 30+ chains, while the fee-switch buyback mechanism introduced in February 2026 adds another dimension to its token economics. The move from roughly $2.30 to $5.90 shows just how quickly interest can build around an asset. Still, after a rally like that, I wouldn't rush in blindly. Support, trading volume, and sustained buying pressure matter more than chasing a candle after it has already moved. What interests me most is where $NEAR goes from here, particularly its potential in cross-chain transactions and infrastructure for AI agents.
