Circle's Arc blockchain is broadening its ecosystem with two notable integrations targeting payments access and high-volume onchain derivatives trading.

Transak Brings Fiat On-Ramp to Arc

Transak is now live on Arc, giving users a straightforward way to fund wallets using debit cards or Apple Pay and receive USDC (ethereum:0xa0b86991c6218b36c1d19d4a2e9eb0ce3606eb48) directly on the network. The move lowers the barrier to entry for users who want exposure to Arc's financial ecosystem without navigating complex crypto on-ramp flows.

The integration fits within Arc's core design. Circle positions Arc as an "economic operating system for the internet," built for payments, tokenized financial markets, lending, trading, and commerce. Transaction fees are paid in USDC rather than a volatile native token, with sub-second finality and a permissioned validator set, making it a practical environment for both retail users and institutions.

Extended Moves Settlement to Arc

On the trading side, Extended is migrating its settlement infrastructure to Arc. The perpetual contract platform is moving from Starknet to Circle's Layer 1 blockchain, with the switch scheduled for the week of October 19 and trading continuing uninterrupted throughout the process.

Extended brings meaningful scale to Arc. The platform has crossed over $200 billion in lifetime trading volume and operates a perpetual DEX offering contracts on stocks, commodities, indices, and crypto. After the move, trades will settle on Arc with sub-second finality and stablecoin-denominated fees that keep costs predictable.

The migration does require some action from users ahead of the cutover. Users holding more than $1 in USDT or wBTC across any sub-account must convert or withdraw those assets by October 21, 2026 at 12:00 UTC, as neither asset is supported on Arc. Within the app, conversion to USDC or cirBTC is available at a 1:1 ratio with no exchange fee, and Extended will cover a 0.50% premium credited within 8 hours after migration.

The two integrations reinforce Arc's positioning as a settlement layer for both consumer-facing payments and institutional-grade onchain trading. Arc's founding validator cohort includes BlackRock, DTCC, ICE, Mastercard, and Visa, among others, signaling the institutional backing the network has attracted since its public mainnet launch in September 2026.
