$BTC just posted its strongest weekly close in about 8 months, putting the market at an important point.
The problem is that $BTC is still facing resistance around the $87K–$87.5K area. We’ve seen price push into this zone and get rejected, so the weekly close alone isn’t enough to call a breakout.
For me, this is closer to a potential breakout than a confirmed one. I want to see BTC reclaim $87.5K and hold above it, ideally with stronger spot volume behind the move.
If that happens, the structure becomes much more bullish. If BTC keeps getting rejected and loses the recent support levels, then this strong weekly close could turn into another trap.
So for now: breakout setup, but not confirmed yet. Confirmation above $87.5K matters.
