Tom Lee Says Crypto Bull Market Is Underway as Institutional $BTC Demand Builds

Fundstrat's Tom Lee says the crypto bull market is already underway, citing improving fundamentals around tokenization and Al, capital rotation into digital assets and the potential for institutions to increase crypto allocations heading into the fourth quarter.

The call comes as institutional demand for Bitcoin remains resilient. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $66.2 million in net inflows on Sept. 29, extending their positive streak to nine consecutive trading sessions, even as $BTC trades near $84,000 amid U.S. Treasury yields above 5%.

Lee is also backing his broader crypto thesis through BitMine Immersion Technologies. The co company reported holdings of 5.98 million $ETH, representing roughly 4.9% of Ethereum's circulating supply, with more than 5 million $ETH staked.

The combination of persistent ETF demand and large corporate crypto accumulation provides support for Lee's thesis, although sustained institutional flows and the ability of digital assets to withstand elevated interest rates remain key tests heading into Q4.
