🚨 One thing I’ve learned from crypto: being right isn’t enough.

You can predict the direction correctly and still lose money if your risk management is poor.

Before entering a trade, I ask:

🎯 Where is my entry?
🛑 Where is my invalidation?
💰 How much am I willing to lose?
📊 Is the potential reward worth the risk?
🚫 Am I trading—or chasing FOMO?

📐 Position-size formula:

Position Size = Amount I’m willing to lose ÷ (Entry Price − Stop/Invalidation Price)

Example:
If I’m willing to risk $10, enter at $100, and my invalidation is $95:

$10 ÷ ($100 − $95) = 2 units

If the invalidation is hit, the planned loss is approximately $10, before fees and slippage.

The key idea: decide the acceptable loss first, then calculate the position size. Don’t choose a position size first and hope the risk works out.
