đš SOLANA BREAKING: INSTITUTIONAL MONEY JUST HIT A RECORD
Solana is getting fresh attention from institutional investors after U.S. spot Solana ETFs recorded a record $188.2 million in net inflows last week.
đ° RECORD WEEKLY INFLOWS
The $188.2 million figure marks the strongest weekly inflow since Solana ETFs launched.
Even more interesting:
đ All seven Solana ETFs recorded positive inflows.
đ„ Friday alone saw around $86.7 million in net inflows, making it the strongest single-day inflow since the products launched.
One of the biggest contributors was Bitwiseâs BSOL, which attracted roughly $128 million during the week â around 68% of the total weekly inflows.
âïž BUT THE ETF STORY ISNâT THE ONLY DEVELOPMENT
Solana is also moving toward a major network upgrade known as Alpenglow.
Developers are testing the upgrade with the goal of dramatically reducing transaction finality.
Solanaâs current finality process can take around 12.8 seconds, while Alpenglow is targeting finality of roughly 150 milliseconds.
If the targeted performance is achieved after deployment, it could represent a major technical improvement for the network.
However, Alpenglow is still being tested, and there is currently no confirmed mainnet launch date.
đŻ WHY THIS MATTERS
Solana now has two major stories developing at the same time:
đŠ Record institutional ETF inflows
âïž A major network upgrade under development
That combination is putting SOL firmly on the marketâs radar.
â ïž But there is an important point to remember:
Record ETF inflows do not guarantee that SOLâs price will continue higher.
The bigger question is whether institutional demand can remain strong after this record week â and whether Alpenglow can deliver the improvements developers are targeting.
đ THE BIGGER SOLANA STORY
Solana is becoming more than just a price-movement story.
Institutional demand is increasing through regulated investment products, while developers are simultaneously working on major improvements to the underlying network.
The next phase could depend on whether these two stories continue to develop together.
