🚨 “Crypto Mom” Hester Peirce is leaving the SEC. 👀
After years at the agency, Peirce will officially depart on October 2, 2026.
During her time at the SEC, she became closely associated with efforts to create clearer rules for digital assets.
More recently, she helped lead the Crypto Task Force and supported initiatives covering crypto asset regulation, staking, mining and tokenized securities.
One notable recent development was the SEC's Innovation Exemption, designed to create a limited pathway for trading tokenized securities on blockchain networks.
