It raised $13.24M, hit $2.01 on years of "utility trials"… and today sits at ~$0.07, even BELOW its ICO price 9 years later. Here's why "disrupting" a regulated industry with a token rarely works. 😳

Here's the wild part 👇, years of "trials," no takeoff:
→ Pilot after pilot with utilities across Australia, the US, Japan, India & more
→ Endless MOUs and announcements but almost none scaled to real commercial adoption
→ WHY: the energy grid is HEAVILY regulated. Utilities, grid operators & regulators control the rails, you can't just "disrupt" them with a token
→ And energy trading never NEEDED a volatile token, no utility wants POWR in your power bill
→ $2.01 → ~$0.07
Today: ~$0.07 (down ~97% from ATH), still below its ICO price, ~$39M market cap.
Lesson for my CryptoPatel Family:
👉 YOU CAN'T DISRUPT A REGULATED LEGACY INDUSTRY WITH A TOKEN. Energy, healthcare, banking, real estate, regulators and incumbents control the rails. Be skeptical of "crypto will disrupt [big regulated industry]."
👉 "PILOTS & TRIALS" ARE NOT ADOPTION. A pilot is a test, not a business. Endless trials with no scale = a warning. (See $VET .)
👉 IF THE PROCESS DOESN'T NEED A TOKEN, THE TOKEN HAS NO DEMAND. (See $REP, $SRM .)
👉 A GREEN / FEEL-GOOD MISSION ISN'T A PRICE FLOOR. "Real-world use case" didn't stop -97%.
The "blockchain will revolutionize [huge real-world industry]" pitch is one of crypto's most seductive and most disappointing. Before buying a "real-world use case" coin, ask: does the industry ACTUALLY need this token, and will regulators ever ALLOW it to scale?
