🇺🇲🇮🇷 Iran has delivered the U.S. a new proposal that would REOPEN the Strait of Hormuz in 7 DAYS and RESTART TALKS.
The message was delivered yesterday at a UN press briefing through Iranian mediators.
It’s similar to the failed MoU that Washington and Iran signed in June, but runs on a much quicker timetable.
The conditions for the 7-day plan for the U.S. include:
-All hostilities end, including in Lebanon
-The U.S. release of Iran’s frozen assets (~$12 billion)
-Waive sanctions on Iranian oil
-Lift the naval blockade on Tehran
-The Strait of Hormuz would be reopened on the seventh day
After meeting these conditions, Iran says it would start negotiations over its nuclear program.
Trump has said a deal with Iran could come after the midterms.
But that may be too late for the GOP’s chances in November.
