Most traders who lock in a $1,667 profit on one token still walk away net down because they never cut the losers sitting next to it.
Watching $BR bleed while you celebrate a win on $AKE is a classic way to slowly drain an account. You tell yourself the dump will reverse, skip the exit, and suddenly the good trade barely covers the damage.
Look at what just happened. $BR is in big trouble with no bounce in sight, yet a closed $AKE perp printed +1,667.87 $USDT even as $AKE itself dropped 7.73%. Isolated numbers like that can trick you into thinking everything is fine.
Perpetual futures make it worse. The leverage that delivered that $AKE win can just as quickly wipe the same amount if $BR keeps falling and your position size is too large. One liquidation and the profit is gone.
Real risk management means treating the whole portfolio as one trade. A single green close on $AKE does not offset an unmanaged bag of $BR .
Anyone else catching this kind of split between winning and losing names right now?
