$919 million in short liquidations hit the moment $BTC broke above $87,000, the kind of wipeout that used to kick off the next violent leg in previous cycles.

Too many traders still fade these highs because they are scared of buying something that already looks extended. Then they sit through the squeeze while $ZEC runs from around $1,086 all the way to $1,650.

Bitcoin just printed $87,395, its highest level in about eight months, after climbing from the $75,000 area. That grind looks familiar. In past cycles the same pattern of a new high plus a laggard suddenly waking up usually meant the easy shorts were already gone.

$ZEC did not stall at $1,600. It pushed through to $1,650 on the same tape. Relative strength like that has historically been a signal, not a coincidence. The shorts who fought this paid for it. They always do when momentum takes over.
