$HYPE Hit a Record. Is It Really Catching $SOL ? What if the smaller market cap hides the bigger valuation ? @CoinMarketCap showed it near $92.22, up 15.2% over seven days. SOL was around $114.26, up 14.1%. HYPE leads that weekly window, but narrowly. The new borrowing feature is real. Users can pledge $HYPE or $BTC to borrow $USDC or $USDT without selling their collateral. That's useful; but falling collateral prices and accruing interest can still trigger liquidation. Now the comparison most price headlines miss. HYPE's circulating market cap is roughly $23.2B against SOL's $67.1B. Holding both circulating supplies and SOL's price constant, HYPE would need about 2.9x its current price to catch up. But only about 26.4% of HYPE's reported total supply circulates. Value today's total supplies at current prices and the figures become roughly $87.7B for HYPE versus $72.5B for SOL. That isn't a forecast of immediate selling. It means the “smaller, cheaper rival” argument needs a supply check. Calling Hyperliquid a one-product perpetuals bet also misses its spot markets, lending and HyperEVM applications. It is expanding; that doesn't yet establish Solana-level breadth. My read: HYPE is making a stronger product case. Catching SOL still requires durable adoption, revenue and demand that can absorb more circulating tokens—not just another record candle. Can HYPE keep beating $SOL and $BTC when traders stop rewarding momentum and start comparing what they're paying for ? #Altcoin Season# #CMC Quest: Earn Rewards# #Macro Insights#
