"AI can scan a thousand charts before you finish your coffee. But can it actually pull the trigger for you?"

Truth is — AI is your co-pilot, not your autopilot.

I've spent weeks running trading bots and AI-based screeners side by side. My honest take?

They're phenomenal at the grunt work. Spotting patterns humans would miss? Instant. Watching the market while you sleep? No problem. Running a hundred backtests before lunch? Easy.

But here's the part that gets glossed over — AI has no real understanding. It's pattern-matching on historical data. It can't feel the panic in a red candle, the euphoria of a breakout, or catch the subtext in a founder's cryptic tweet. It doesn't sense sentiment shifting in real time — it just reacts to what already happened.

Every experienced trader I talk to treats AI as an input, not a decision-maker. Great for research, monitoring, and automating the boring stuff. Terrible idea to let it run your whole book unsupervised.

At the end of the day, judgment, risk control, and emotional discipline are still 100% on you. AI sharpens the tool — you're still the one swinging it.
