The January incident caught my attention for exactly that reason. Dusk said on January 17 that it detected unusual activity involving a team-managed wallet and paused its bridge services, while stating that user funds were safe. Around the same time, millions of DUSK were being tracked moving through the bridge connecting Dusk with EVM.
I'm not interested in turning that into speculation. What I'm interested in is the trail.
Which wallets actually moved the funds? How much DUSK was involved? Where did the tokens go afterward? Did they stay within the bridge ecosystem, or were they eventually distributed across other addresses?
For me, this matters beyond one incident. Dusk is positioning its infrastructure around privacy, compliance, and potential financial use cases. Those are meaningful strengths, but they also make transparency, governance, and operational security especially important.
A bridge can improve interoperability and utility, but it can also introduce a concentrated point of risk.
