Why Dusk could matter for regulated finance

One of the most interesting developments is DuskEVM. By providing an EVM-compatible application layer, Dusk gives institutions and developers a familiar Solidity-based path into its ecosystem. Through Hedger, confidential EVM workflows can use homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs to enable privacy while still supporting authorized review.
On the application side, Dusk Trade is designed as a neobroker for tokenized financial assets, including MMFs, ETFs, bonds, and RWAs. The goal is to bring real ownership, instant settlement, and DeFi composability into a regulated environment.
What stands out to me is Dusk’s approach to privacy: privacy where needed, transparency where useful, and selective disclosure for authorized parties.
If regulated securities and real-world assets are going to move onchain at scale, infrastructure needs to address both blockchain-native functionality and real regulatory requirements.
That is the space Dusk is building for.
