Ripio just tokenized six Latin American currencies — pesos, reals, soles — with zero on/off-ramp fees, and they chose $CELO (currently ~$150M TVL) to do it.
This matters because remittance corridors are where stablecoins actually get used by real people, not just traders flipping tokens. If you're sending money home across borders, you care about cost and speed, not yield farming.
My guess: the next wave of genuine crypto volume won't come from DeFi degenerates — it'll come from remittance flo...
