XRP Whales Now Control 68.5% of Supply, Highest Level Since 2022
XRP whales have held the largest share of the token’s supply since November 2022. Wallets holding at least 10 million $XRP now control 46.87 billion tokens, or around 68.5% of the total supply.
The increase comes as the price struggles near $1.3. According to Santiment, this shows that large holders continue to accumulate despite the current weakness.
Accumulation Grows
The latest trend suggests major investors are maintaining their exposure while smaller traders may be losing confidence. But Santiment explained that the crypto asset still needs to clear important levels before a stronger recovery can take shape. The $1.3 mark remains a crucial level, while $1.5 could offer stronger confirmation of bullish momentum. Holding above $1.2, alongside continued whale accumulation, would support the outlook.
Further gains in whale holdings could strengthen the recovery case.
Meanwhile, xrp exchange outflows reached around 5.3 billion tokens over a 30-day period. The figure remains below the 6 billion xrp recorded in October. With approximately 2.206 billion tokens leaving, Binance accounted for the largest share. Next up was OKX with 501.51 million, followed by Bybit, which recorded 479.94 million in outflows. Upbit saw around 392.90 million xrp leave its platform, followed by Bitget at 243.39 million.
The outflows declined during the first half of August before picking up later that month. Higher levels continued through September and October, in a recovery from the quieter summer period. These movements may mean more xrp is moving into private wallets or other platforms. That could reduce the tokens readily available for sale on exchanges.
Additionally, the TD Sequential indicator has flashed a buy signal on the three-day chart. The last three similar signals were followed by rebounds of 31%, 24%, and 18%.
