🚹 JUST IN: U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the Treasury could work with the SEC and CFTC to push crypto regulation forward.

The big reason?

The CLARITY Act failed to move through the Senate, leaving a major gap in the U.S. crypto regulatory framework.

Now Bessent says regulators could step in and help “fill the gap” through coordinated action.

That could mean clearer rules, stronger guardrails and potentially less uncertainty for crypto companies operating in the U.S.

Bessent also pointed to the importance of stablecoins, noting that more than 90% are tied to the U.S. dollar and that their reserves include U.S. Treasuries.

So the message from Washington is getting louder:

The U.S. may not be waiting for Congress to finish the job.

The SEC, CFTC and Treasury could now play a much bigger role in shaping America’s crypto future.

For Bitcoin, XRP and the wider crypto market, this could be a very important development.

The question is no longer just whether the U.S. will regulate crypto.

It’s who will write the rules — and how fast? 👀
