Changing a liquidity range involves rebuilding the position.

Uniswap's support guide says a v3 or v4 position's boundaries can only be changed by removing its existing liquidity and creating a new position with the desired range. The removal also collects earned fees and returns the tokens to the wallet.

For $UNI ecosystem users, moving the range therefore deserves a fresh review of token amounts, costs and approvals. It isn't simply editing two numbers while leaving the original position untouched.
