I used to think the real value of AI agents was simple give them a task, let them handle the details and save yourself some time.

But imagine you're busy and ask an agent to find an opportunity and handle a payment for you. It does the research, finds a suitable option and gets everything ready.

Sounds useful, right?

Now imagine it needs to spend more than you expected. Do you let it decide on its own, or should it stop and ask for your approval?

That's the part of the agent economy I find interesting.

As I look at what $KITE is building. I keep coming back to the difference between giving an agent a task and giving it authority. Those two things aren't the same.

In crypto, we already know that convenience comes with trade offs. You wouldn't hand unlimited access to your wallet to a stranger just because they seemed capable. So why should an AI agent be treated differently?

For agents to handle real economic activity, they need more than the ability to execute tasks. Identity, permissions and user control matter just as much.

I think this is an important part of Kite's vision for the agent economy making it possible for agents to participate in transactions without making trust a blind decision.

The real progress isn't when agents can do everything. It's when we can trust them to do only what we've allowed.
