🚨 Algorand has recorded millions of post-quantum-signed transactions. But transaction count isn't the same as user adoption—or whole-network security.
#algorand
Algorand has expanded its Falcon-1024 technology so existing accounts can change their transaction authorization without moving funds or changing addresses.
Recent reporting puts the network above 2,000 native post-quantum accounts that have signed transactions on mainnet, with more than 2.7 million post-quantum-signed transactions recorded.
Those are meaningful technical milestones, but the denominators matter. A transaction count does not reveal how many independent users are active, and some early activity has been associated with Pera Wallet's commemorative NFT incentives.
There's another limitation.
Post-quantum account signing does not mean every part of Algorand's network is already quantum-resistant. The network's verifiable random function and consensus signatures still rely on classical cryptography, while broader quantum resilience remains a roadmap objective.
My view: Algorand has made concrete security progress, but the next test is adoption beyond incentivized activity—and continued expansion of quantum-resistant protection across the network.
What would convince you that Algorand's quantum-security advantage is becoming economically meaningful: more protected accounts, broader protocol coverage, or sustained application usage?
Not financial advice.
