Privacy in crypto should go beyond hiding transactions. What if we could also protect the intent behind them?

That’s what makes @Nillion and its core product, Covenants, worth paying attention to.

A Covenant is an instruction nobody can read until it fires.

Imagine setting a sell order, placing a bid in an auction, or scheduling a payment based on a specific condition. You write the instruction, encrypt it, and put it onchain. While it waits, its contents remain private. Once the condition is met, the instruction unlocks and executes.

No bot running in the background. No keeper service. No third party holding your strategy and asking you to trust them with it.

That’s the part I find most interesting: Covenants bring programmable privacy to the intent behind an action, not just the transaction itself.

And this is only the beginning.

Dusk is now live on Ethereum mainnet. This is a real launch, not a testnet experiment, and it marks the first era of Nillion’s 7-era roadmap. More releases are expected before the end of the year, making the next stages particularly exciting to watch.

If Nillion can make encrypted instructions practical for onchain markets, we could see new ways to trade, automate strategies, and execute conditional actions without exposing every detail of our intentions.

For me, the bigger question is no longer whether onchain activity can be transparent. It’s whether we can have transparency in settlement while keeping sensitive trading intentions private.

That’s the future I’m watching $NIL for. Privacy and verifiability don't have to be opposites.

What possibilities do you see for Covenants as Nillion's ecosystem evolves?
