Chamath Palihapitiya just said the quiet part out loud, and the crypto timeline is NOT happy 😅

On the Moonshots podcast, the billionaire investor (and once one of Bitcoin's loudest believers) said he thinks $BTC is "capped," and that eventually "it gets hacked, and then it goes to zero." 💀

Why does he think so?
🔾 Retail and institutions can buy it, but central banks mostly can't. That limits the buyer pool.

🔾 Rapidly improving AI could one day be aimed at Bitcoin's security. His scenario: crack Satoshi's wallet, drain it, then short the market before announcing it.

🔾 Moving to quantum-resistant cryptography would need the whole community to agree, and we all know how Bitcoin governance debates go 😬
Now the other side 👇

✅ Bitcoin's cryptography has survived 15+ years of attacks
✅ Developers are already discussing quantum-resistant upgrades
✅ Plenty of experts say the AI and quantum threat is overhyped for now
✅ Chamath no longer holds BTC directly, so critics are asking whether he's talking his book 👀

My take? You don't have to panic, and you shouldn't dismiss it either. The real question isn't "will Bitcoin get hacked tomorrow?" It's "how ready is the network if the tech moves faster than expected?" A healthy ecosystem listens to the warnings AND builds the fixes.
What's your take? Is this FUD or a fair warning? 👇
