Musk noted that the global economy could grow a million times larger through artificial intelligence, robotics, and space exploration, making work optional as machines surpass humans in all tasks. However, he warned that humanity could lose control over AI. He acknowledged that his attempt to slow down AI development by founding OpenAI ultimately accelerated the race.

Regarding fiscal policy, Musk suggested that AI and robotics might help solve the US national debt issue, stating he does not believe US authorities can resolve the debt through spending cuts alone.
