#PolkadotFoundationWarnsFearlessWalletExtensionLeakedPrivateKeys
🚨 SECURITY ALERT: FEARLESS WALLET EXTENSION EXPLOIT DETECTED — MOVE YOUR FUNDS IMMEDIATELY! ⚠️🚨
The Polkadot Community Foundation has issued an urgent security warning regarding the third-party Fearless Wallet browser extension.
$ZEC
A critical code flaw in extension versions 3.0.1, 3.0.3, 3.0.4, and 3.0.5 was found to intermittently send users' private keys to an attacker-controlled server!
🔑 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
⚠️ Consider Accounts Compromised: If you have used the Fearless Wallet browser extension since February 2025, treat all accounts created or imported into it as compromised.
🚨 Reinstalling Will NOT Fix It: Simply changing your password or reinstalling the extension does not secure your keys.
📲 Mobile App Notice: While the leak affects the Chrome browser extension, if you imported the same private keys into the mobile app, those keys are also compromised.
🛡️ IMMEDIATE ACTION STEPS:
1️⃣ Generate a New Wallet: Create a completely fresh account on an uncompromised, secure wallet (such as Nova Wallet or SubWallet).
2️⃣ Transfer All Unlocked Assets: Move your liquid $DOT
and other parachain tokens to your new safe address immediately.
3️⃣ For Staked / Locked Funds: If your assets are locked in staking or governance, do not panic—use official tools like PAPI Rescue developed by the Polkadot API team to safeguard them.
$XRP
💡 REMINDER: Fearless Wallet is an independent third-party project, not an official product of the Polkadot Foundation. Always verify extension permissions and stay vigilant against follow-up recovery scams! 🛡️
💬 COMMUNITY ALERT: Please spread the word to all Polkadot users to ensure everyone migrates their funds safely! 👇
