Something I’ve noticed in crypto is that most projects focus on solving the problems right in front of them. Far fewer talk about what their systems might face several years down the road.
That’s one reason Aurora caught my attention in @Nillion ’s roadmap.
Quantum hardening might not seem urgent today, but security is easier to plan for before it becomes a serious concern. As computing evolves, some of the cryptographic methods we rely on could face new challenges. Thinking about that early makes sense to me.
Of course, putting a security upgrade on a roadmap is one thing delivering it successfully is another. The real test will be how Nillion handles implementation, performance and the practical trade offs involved.
I also find the contrast interesting. Covenants are already live through Dusk on Ethereum, while Aurora represents a longer term security direction.
For me, this is a reminder that infrastructure should be judged not only by what it does today, but also by how it prepares for tomorrow. The execution will matter more than the promise.
Do you think quantum resistant security will become a bigger priority for crypto sooner than expected?
