Saylor hinted at “more orange.” Today, Strategy confirmed another 267 BTC.
Meanwhile, MSTR is approaching a golden cross.
A growing Bitcoin treasury and a potential momentum shift. Here’s why I’m watching the combination. 👇
Strategy now holds 848,517 BTC following its latest purchase.
CoinDesk reports that MSTR’s 50-day moving average is approaching its 200-day average. A cross above it would form a golden cross, weeks after Bitcoin registered the same signal.
The setup was still pending in the report—not confirmed.
The historical examples are eye-catching: MSTR’s September 2020 cross preceded a 717% rally to its subsequent peak. The March 2023 cross preceded a 1,774% advance to its November 2024 peak.
But those are hindsight measurements to market tops, not returns investors could automatically capture.
Across MSTR’s full history since 1999, only 10 of 19 golden crosses were followed by a higher price 12 months later.
Two spectacular rallies deserve attention. The broader record deserves context.
My thesis remains focused on a potential 2028–2029 bull market: MSTR offers a way to seek amplified Bitcoin exposure while keeping BTC as the main underlying driver.
Buying shares outright means no recurring perpetual-futures funding charge or margin liquidation price on that cash position. Corporate financing costs, dilution and potentially deeper drawdowns still come with it.
Today’s purchase adds to the treasury. A confirmed crossover could strengthen the technical picture. Sustained demand and value creation per share would make the combination more convincing.
The crossover gets my attention. Execution keeps it.
Would a confirmed golden cross strengthen your MSTR thesis, or do you need to see stronger price action first?
