I keep coming back to Nillion because the interesting part isn’t “privacy.”
Crypto has spent years trying to put more data onchain. But AI agents, trading systems and automated strategies create a different problem. Sometimes the valuable information is valuable precisely because nobody else should see it before the decision is made.
That is where Nillion starts getting interesting.
Its recent ecosystem activity around Blacklight, encrypted instructions and private inference suggests the real product may not be storage at all. It could be a way for applications to use sensitive information without exposing the information itself.
I’ve seen plenty of privacy narratives get priced before anyone actually needed the technology. So I don’t fully trust the story yet.
What I’m watching is adoption. If developers begin putting real trading logic, agent decisions and sensitive computation behind encrypted workflows, then Nillion stops being another privacy project and becomes infrastructure.
That distinction matters more to me than any token narrative.
